They took their name from the movie Flesh for Frankenstein, in which Baron Frankenstein is searching for the perfect Serbian nasum to create a new master race
Singer and guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk was confirmed deceased when the body was identified on February 17, 2005. He was killed in the Tsunami disaster in Asia. Anders Jakobson officially announced that Nasum will no longer continue as of May 26th, 2005
Mieszko also had his own studio, Soundlab, where various metal bands recorded albums as well as him being somewhat of a cult producer
