Post rock generally builds from quiet to loud,songs are generally over five minutes and a lot of bands use instruments which aren't normally associated with rock music.Links up btw.I'll let you all know which bands shortly *

Kayo Dot,Crippled Black Phoenix,Mouth Of The Architect,Isis,Gregor Samsa,Jeniferever,Godspeed You! Black Emperor and A Silver Mt. Zion.Most are post rock except Isis and Mouth of the Architect which are classified as post metal,and Kayo Dot,which is experimental music that's difficult to classify *

Kauan are a Russian band who were from an area that borders Finland. Their sound can be described as folk, doom and black metal blended with post rock, especially post rock on the latter album. Kauan lyrics are in Finnish and Russian. Worth hearing! *
